Sunday August 13: Rooftop garden smørrebrød (includes locally-crafted plateware that is yours to keep)

65.00

Smørrebrød, or "buttered bread", is a classic Danish open-faced sandwich served on rye bread. This event will feature two "West Coast Nordic" smørrebrød that merge New Nordic cuisine concepts with ingredients and techniques from the West Coast. A Scandinavian summer dessert and garden herb sun tea will complete your meal. BYO other beverage if desired.

---

We'll be dining in a beautiful rooftop garden in Berkeley, Top Leaf Farms, where most of the produce for the event is procured. A percent of the proceeds will be donated to the farm.

---

The meal will be served on a gorgeous and unique slab and small bowl made by local craftsman Steve Thompson of Euclidean Building that is yours to keep after the event. Sarah Koik of Koik ceramics will also be joining with her lovely wares for purchase.

---

Menu items may include fish, dairy, and gluten. There are no substitutions - thank you for understanding.
